Maggie has over 25 years’ experience in all aspects of employment and corporate law. She represents both early-stage and established businesses, guiding them through complex employment laws and employment-related policies and procedures. She has advocated for both public and private sector employers in judicial courts and administrative agencies, including representation in Department of Labor (Fair Labor Standards Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration), National Labor Relations Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Agencies, and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
In addition to all types of employment matters, Maggie regularly assists startups with formation and financings, as well as with their day-to-day general legal issues, leveraging her significant experience in growing a company. Before transitioning into private practice, Maggie gained valuable in-house experience, working as an executive for what was, at the time, the nation’s fastest growing franchisee.
Maggie’s fervor for the startup world began at an early age. At 12, she started her own newspaper and a babysitting business, and before long she was making plans to attend law school with a goal to help entrepreneurs seamlessly navigate the legal ecosystem. Many years down the road, Maggie is still thrilled to be fulfilling her passion.
