Nic is a former venture-backed entrepreneur, with a deep understanding of both the business and legal aspects of forming, growing, and exiting a business. Nic co-founded two high-growth start-ups, raising an aggregate of $30 million in financing and successfully exiting one of the companies. He advises first-time and serial entrepreneurs running companies in all stages of their lifecycles. Nic also serves as investor counsel for both angel investors and several venture funds.
Nic believes start-ups are a tool that can be used to effectuate social change. He spearheaded an effort to pass benefit corporation legislation in Wisconsin and represented the first benefit corporation in the state.
